New Assistant Minister for Innovation Wyatt Roy and robotics entrepreneur Marita Cheng will lead a young entrepreneurs trade mission to Israel later this month. Israel-large

Organised by the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce, the mission will explore business and investment opportunities in Israel, as well as helping delegates understand the country’s unique entrepreneurial culture and innovative eco-system.

Made famous by the worldwide bestselling book Start-up Nation, Israel’s start-up culture is among the world’s most vibrant.

According to the Chamber, Israel has the highest number of start-up companies in the world per capita. It also has the world’s third highest rate of entrepreneurship.

Meanwhile a delegation including representatives from some of Australia’s leading material research and advanced manufacturing companies, recently returned from an Austrade mission to India.

The Australian Future Materials and Advanced Manufacturing mission explored technology, research and licensing partnerships with India’s manufacturing and engineering sector.
