Grant Anderson is the CEO of the ANCA Group, which has 3 divisions. He oversees the strategic direction of the company and its divisions which is a leading Melbourne-based manufacturer of tool grinders. ANCA Machine Tools exports 99% of its machines and around 570 of its 970 staff is based overseas among its network of overseas offices and manufacturing sites in Australia, USA, UK, Germany, China, Taiwan, India and Thailand. ANCA Motion develops and manufactures automation solutions for the global market.
Grant Anderson was appointed ANCA CEO in July 2010 after providing consulting services for strategic and business planning, and lean manufacturing management. During his time as CEO ANCA sales have tripled, including the acquisition of Tinfish Sheet Metal Solutions. At the same time Grant has implemented a number of management, structural and cultural changes in addition to new processes by utilising his extensive lean design and manufacturing best practice experience. These have resulted in cultural change for the company and allowed it to gain the benefits of lean manufacturing practices, whilst developing a complete new range of leading edge products.
Grant has over 40 years of experience in the design and manufacturing sectors. This experience encompasses engineering at the level of executive, CEO and managing director for a number of public and private companies. Most of these companies have operated internationally at best practice levels.
An experienced non-executive Director and Chairman, both in Australia and internationally, Grant is a Director of ANCA Pty Ltd and a number of its subsidiaries, both in Australia and Internationally.
Grant is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute. He is based in Melbourne, Victoria and enjoys sailing on Port Phillip Bay on weekends.
